Lest We Should Let Them Slip

HEBREWS 2:1

1     ¶ Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

We know that the Ephesian church age did let the word slip from them just like Eve became deceived by a wrong interpretation of the word and became defiled.

Lest We Should Let Them Slip

Study series of the early church before the Ephesus age and during the Ephesian age – take our time in this study.

The Ephesian Church age took place from AD53 to AD170. But before the Ephesian church age began in AD53, the original Pentecostal church received the message of that hour which was the pure word of God from the thought of God that had come to them through the ministry of Jesus and of Paul (the first church age messenger) and of course with the help of other helpers that were faithful to the revelation of the message that Paul had received from God for that time. And we know that the work of the Holy Spirit was to seek out the elect for that age and bring them to the revelation of the word for that age.

144-1   SMYRNAEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.4

… Scripture teaches us that the work of the Holy Spirit, and the manifestation of that Blessed Person is to bring the truth of each age to the true seed of that age, then we know that the Spirit has to be abiding in the person or he cannot receive the truth for that time. Amen. That is exactly correct. And if these ages bring out anything, they surely bring and bear out this truth.

JOHN 14:25-26

25     ¶ These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

26   But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

143-1   SMYRNAEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.4

…He told us the evidence, or what would happen after being baptized with the Holy Ghost was that we would have the Teacher come and teach all truth. But that Teacher was an INSIDE teacher, not an outside teacher. If the Spirit wasn't inside, you wouldn't hear the truth and receive it by revelation if you heard it every moment of the day. (People can learn the message teachings and terminologies, but we need it to be made alive to us on the inside by the new birth, and that take the revelation of the word by the Holy Spirit) That was the sign of the indwelling Spirit in the days of Paul. Those who were filled with the Holy Ghost heard the Word, received it and lived by it. Those who did not have the Spirit heard it only as carnal men, put a wrong interpretation on it and went into sin.

In every age, (and every age is the age of the Holy Ghost for the true believer)--I say, in every age the evidence was the same. Those who had the Spirit, the Teacher, heard the Word, and that Spirit in them took the Word and taught it (revealed it) to them; and they were of the group that heard the messenger and his message and took it and lived it.

So from AD33 to AD53 is 20 years, and that was when the word was first being taught to the elect of that age by the revelation of the message of that hour, and the inner teacher (the Holy Spirit) was teaching the elect of that first age and bringing them into a new birth by the spirit of the word that was fresh from the thought of God for that age.

But as time when on, and the Ephesian age had begun in AD53, then the devil began to get amongst them with false teachers and bring confusion among the people and some began to slip away from the word just like Eve did at the beginning, and that first church age bride became spotted with unbelief.

REVELATION 2:1-7

     1     ¶ Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

2   I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

3   And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

4   Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

5   Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. (Some of them had begun to let the word slip and allow false teachings in among them)

6   But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. (The deeds of the Nicolaitans was to conquer the laity - to lord it over the people by human government and by make themselves the spiritual hierarchies and authorities instead of the Holy Spirit that was to be the leader of the church and the people by the indwelling spirit teacher on the inside)

7   He that hath an ear, let him hear what the (bishop?) Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

***We know that if that first Church had kept itself pure with the word, then those first Church age group as a people would have come to perfection and brought about the resurrection – Paul said “we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep”. But they missed the mark which would have brought them back to Eden again – everything that Adam lost would have been restored back to them in that age if they had kept walking with the word (Eternal life, fellowship with God, and dominion over the earth), but before that could happen they fell away by false teachers of the word just like Eve did at the beginning, but we know that this end time bride in this age is promised to not to fall away from what God has restored back to us in this last age by his prophet messenger, and so it is promised that this end time bride would come to that perfection, in other words, where the Ephesian church and bride failed, this end time people and bride of Christ will not failso if we can see where they failed, and be vigilant against that, and where they failed was that they let the original word slip.

A Word to the Church – pick up your pen and write…

171-2   PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.5

The first son (Adam) was the spoken seed-Word of God. He was given a bride to reproduce himself. That is why the bride was given to him, to reproduce himself; to produce another son of God. But she fell. She fell by hybridization. She caused him to die.

The second Son (Jesus), also a spoken Seed-Word of God was given a bride like as was Adam. But before He could marry her, she also had fallen. She, like Adam's wife, was put to the test whether she would believe the Word of God and live, or doubt the Word and die. She doubted. She left the Word. She died.

From a little group of the true seed of the Word, God will present Christ with a beloved bride. She is a virgin of His Word. She is a virgin because she knows no man-made creeds or dogmas. By and through the members of the bride will be fulfilled all that was promised of God to be made manifest in the virgin.
