Understanding our Hereditary Pt.4

JEREMIAH 31:33-34

33   But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. (This is the real purpose that God has had from the beginning – is to have a people with the revelation of His word in their hearts, and this is exactly what God has been doing with us for all these years of being under the ministry of this great evening time light of the message of the hour – He has been writing the revelation of His word within the inward parts of our spirit and soul)

34   And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

These ones that have received this truth of the word of God into their hearts, He remembers their sins no more as if they had never even sinned in the first place, that is how powerful of what Christ did on your behalf.

MICAH 7:18-19

18   Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

19   He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

ISAIAH 43:25

25   I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Understanding our Hereditary Pt.4

Last week we spent some time showing how that our sin question is a past event, it has already been dealt with completely by the second Adam (Christ), and so there is no condemnation of sin that we have to feel condemned by because Christ took all of our sin and condemnation upon himself at Calvary and washed all our sins away forever then.

*So there is no sin that you have committed in this life of your past or in your future that hasn’t already been fully paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ. So as long as you continue to confess your sin before God, then God is faithful and just to forgive you of your sins, and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1st JOHN 1:9).

**So by one man’s disobedience (Adam) we all died, but by one man’s obedience (Christ) we all live. That’s the good news of what God did for each one of us personally, and when you know this, then this truth will set you free from your burden of sin because you know for sure that someone else has paid your debt of sin on your behalf.

ROMANS 5:18-19

18   Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19   For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

ROMANS 8:1

1     ¶ There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Walking after the spirit means that you are looking to the things of the word of God for the leadership of your life, and you are walking in the light of the word by your constant willingness to align your agreement with the word of God – it is not about sinless perfection, it is your attitude toward God.

JOHN 5:24

24   Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

POSSESSING.ALL.THINGS_ JEFF.IN V-10 N-4 SUNDAY_ 62-0506

128   Oh, isn't He wonderful? Now, now, with our confessions, our belief, our confession of our sins, believing that all of our sins is in the sea of forgetfulness... He that will confess his sins, God is just to omit them. See? They're in the--the sea of the Blood of Jesus Christ, never to be remembered no more.

And so we have laboured on this a little over the last services because this is very important for us all to understand clearly because this is our true and legal standing with God that our sins are already washed away forever, and so then when we are dealing with this subject of the hereditary of our human weaknesses, we mustn’t think of our relationship to God as if we are sinners and that God is dealing with us as sinners when we are having struggles from what we have inherited from our forefathers and foremothers since the fall of Adam. God is not now dealing with us as sinners (if we are believers) because our judgment for sin has already been fully dealt with in Christ, but he is now dealing with us as sons and daughters in a father and son relationship of child training.

**We know that David’s sin with Bathsheba was forgiven by God, but he continued paid for his “mistake” with troubles in his life because the way of a transgressor is hard and what a man sows he must also reap. You cannot get out of the law of sowing and reaping.

Picking up from last week…

****So we know that our judgement as sinners has completely passed and we stand fully justified in God’s presence so much so that it is just as if we had never sinned in the first place, but what we will suffer for is when (as children of God) we disobey and make mistakes and put our own understanding before the word of God and go our own way contrary to the will and word of God, so then God will deal with us as his children in correction for the purpose of the advancement of our character as in a father and son relationship – and this is what we are going through every day of our lives, God is dealing with you as His child in child training for the purpose of correction and bringing you to a maturity of understanding.

HEBREWS 12:5-11

5   And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

6   For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7   If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

8   But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

9   Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

10   For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

11   Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

**We notice that the whole Bible is full of God having to deal with the problems of His children.

All the problems He had with David, all the problems He had with Abraham, all the problems He had with Jacob, all the problems He had with Israel. It’s constantly God having to deal with the problems of His children, and it’s all been exposed in the bible, and the problems with his children just kept going on and on until one day He had to come to earth himself in order to die and bear their shame to bring them out of it – there was a price that he had to pay in order to bring them out – and this is what the prodigal son’s father had to do also, was to pay a price in order to eventually bring his son out of the condition of the pig pen and back to father’s house.

We read this quote from last week…

QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS.3_ JEFF.IN COD SUNDAY_ 64-0830M

1062-8   …God made me what I am. And I can't be nothing but what He made me, melancholy, and those kind of things. They tell me I just have to be that way in order to be the help that He sent me here to be.

**Paul also talked about having a thorn in the flesh that troubled him all his life and that God allowed in order to keep him a certain way for his ministry.

So we see that often God allows negative things in our life to continue to buffet us throughout our lives, but then he uses those negative things as a tool in his hand to shape us for his purpose for us.

**So we know without a doubt that our sins are completely gone by grace of what Christ did for us in taking our place and our shame upon himself, but then this knowledge can lead to another area of problems of where if people are not taught in the scriptures correctly that they can get out of balance of their understanding between law and grace. Grace is not an excuse for disgrace.

HOW.THE.ANGEL.CAME.TO.ME.AND.HIS.COMMISSION_ CHICAGO.IL FOOTPRINT.BOOK MONDAY_ 55-0117

12   Now, there's a limb on the Tree, that's Calvinism, but there's more limbs on the Tree, too. A tree has more than one limb. He just wanted to run it on out there into Eternal Security, and after a while you go on off into Universalism and you drop off out there somewhere, there's no end to it (Universalism is the idea that every person in the world will sooner or later be reconciled to God – but we know that even though that sounds like a good idea, it does not fit with all scriptural truth, so if you keep following that idea then you will get out on a limb with that and fall off the whole tree). But when you get through with Calvinism, come back up and start on Arminianism. See, there's another limb on the Tree, and another limb on the Tree, just keep on. The whole thing together makes the Tree. So I believe in--in the... in Calvinism as long as it stays in the Scripture.

***So you may find portions of scripture on their own that may seem to support some of these ideas, but you can’t just take one scripture on its own and form an idea that is not in harmony with the rest of the truth of all the other scriptures in the bible – and so this is what we are dealing with sometimes within ourselves of our own subconscious thinking, we can at times get out of balance between law and grace in our own thinking because we don’t see clearly of where the line is drawn in the word when dealing with our own struggles – but we need to understand clearer where these lines are drawn.

***We try to live the best life of sanctification that we can to please the Lord, not because we are trying to be sinless, but because we love the Lord of what he has done for us in saving us and giving us eternal life – and so it is your love toward God that motivates you to live right and not the fear of going to hell.

***So when we are talking about hereditary problems that have come down into us from our forefathers, we can be sure that God will use these hereditary problems in our lives as temporal tools to shape us and mould our character and most of all to bring us into a greater knowledge and revelation of Himself.

JEREMIAH 31:33b-34a Opening scripture…

33   … After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. (How does he do that? – through sufferings and trails and child training of what we bring on ourselves because of our earthy struggles as children of God growing up into maturity, just like our own children go through these same things while they are growing up in their relationship with us)

34   And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD:

We all know that these hereditary things run very deep within us, even deep into our spiritual makeup, and this also is true when it comes to our eternal hereditary – so not all hereditary is bad, we could maybe say that a lot of what has been passed down in our “members” is often not so good – but what is passed down in our spiritual DNA from God as believers is very good.

THE.SPOKEN.WORD.IS.THE.ORIGINAL.SEED_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-1 SUNDAY_ 62-0318

35-6   Christ couldn't help being what He was. He was the Son of God. That's it. See what I mean now? See if you were intended, you see the Word of God, you believe It; because why? There's something new. See? Why? Have you ever heard of strain in a family? A one... A--a--a son will kind of impersonate his father, or--or the mother, and--or the grandfather, or the grandmother. That's strain in the family. You've heard of it, haven't you? Well, that's the same thing from predestination. You were supposed to be here in the right way at the beginning, but being that you come the way you did, you're subject to the fall (That fall produced your earthly strain of what is in your members). But being that you're predestinated you hear the Word and It brings you right back where you were predestinated. Amen. Never saw that before. Brings you right... And what--what makes you believe the Word of God and turn down these other things? Is because you were... There's something in you. Way back yonder you was supposed... you... what... You are made to live here forever.

***We know from last week’s study that when it came to child training that the first parent ever (God Himself) ran into some big problems with his very first children Adam and Eve.

Their home in Eden had been such a happy place for many years, just a happy family for many years, but after life had gone along for a while we find out that God’s children began to come into a certain stage of their relationship with God of where their maturity of understanding began to change and to advance, and like a lot of young people, when they are just little children they simply just believe everything that father and mother tells them, but as they grow older and begin to mature in their thinking, then they begin to question things, they begin to think deeper thoughts, and this is how that Eve when she began to come to a stage of a greater mental maturity, then she began to quietly question the word of her father and she began to form her own ideas based on her own reasonings and perception – and just like many teenagers, she began to think she knew about things just a little better and that she could lead herself better that what God could.

***And we know that all children go through this stage to some level because their minds are changing from child to adult, and they have to come into an understanding of truth from their own conviction of maturity and not from just being told from their mum and dad – we all know this to be true.

And that is why when children get to a certain stage, then as adults our relationship with them has to begin to change like the prodigal son’s relationship with his father of how he dealt with his two boys differently – sometimes they have to be committed to God to do their own thing in order to really learn themselves, and this can be one of the hardest things to do for a parent, and this is exactly what God went through with his first children and this is even place in the message with what brother Branham and his wife also went through with Rebekah.

QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS.1_ JEFF.IN COD SUNDAY_ 64-0823M

946-117   I've just went through the experience with my Rebekah. See? Just commit it to God. When she got to be a little "teeannie," and she was going with some girl when we first went out there, going--run over to some girl's house taking music lessons... And this girl... I come by one day, and here this girl was setting there at the piano playing rock-and-roll. Well, that was just enough for me. So I told her stay away from over there. See? And then she said, "Well, it's the only place I got to go to take music." (You know how "teeannies" get.)

And I said... Every kid has to go through that. Practically everyone goes through that age. You did; I did. And we got to think their thoughts.

946-119   So then, a few days after that her mother got after her for something, and she sassed her. Now, that's not Rebekah at all. Took off and slammed the door, almost, and knocked the things off the wall, went to school.

Now, I ought to have, seemingly, just taken my belt off, and followed her out there in the yard, and brought her back with warps around her. See? But I thought, "Wait a minute; I got to think eighteen year old thoughts." See? "Now," I said, "Mother, I know that..." She started crying, Meda. I said, "I know you done all you can do; I done all I can do. Now, if it's out of our hands, we have to take the next step."…

…I said, "Well look, honey, now, you've got to listen to me. It's hard for you to do this; I'm your husband. But people drive across the nations and around for just a few words of advice. Now, if you... I talked to her the other day, and she just walked away from me."

947-123   Now, Becky never did do that to me. See? And when her mother said something about it, she slammed the door and say, "You expect me to set here and be a wallflower all my life?" And blammy, she slammed the door and went out. That was the devil.

…And then when she--and then that--she started that. And I took Meda about a hour. I said, "Meda, take your hands off."

"Me? That's my kid."

I said, "Isn't it mine too?" All right. I said, "If she was dying this morning, you'd have to commit her to God for her eternal destination. Why can't we commit her to God now for her earthly journey?"

And she said, "Well, that's my kid."

I said, "It's mine too."

I said, "Now, can you take your..."

"Me not say nothing to her?"

I said, "I never said that. We'll quit scolding her, just advise her. She needs a buddy, and you're the one to be her buddy, you and I. We're her parents."

**Sometimes all that teenagers need is a friend. They need to be convinced that their mummy and daddy loves them, they need to be convinced they understand them and that they're not going to be argued down or to be proven wrong all the time – that’s the fastest way to hurt your relationship with them.

*So Meda here was trying to hold on to a relationship with Rebeca as of what she had always had with her as a little child, but Rebeca was now coming into a stage of where she was coming into her own conviction of truth just like we see that Eve came to this same place where she had to decide for herself of what was right and wrong.

**So when we look at how God handled this, he let Eve do what she really wanted to do even though it broke his heart to see it happen, and this is the advice that Brother Branham is now giving to his wife concerning his daughter in this situation. This takes the wisdom of God to handle this the right way.

*There are three young men in the New Testament that we can observe and learn something deeper about this subject of hereditary and child training.

***First there was the rich young ruler - even though he had rejected the leadership of the Lord, he kept getting richer and life just prospered until one day he died prematurely and we know the story that he lifted up his eyes in hell because during his life he had had an hereditary problem of being selfish – maybe he inherited it from his grandfather or his grandmother, and he had never maybe come to a realization about this weakness within himself, and what we see also is that God never dealt with this problem in child training as he would have done with his own child – this is why that one of the greatest proofs that we are a child of God is when he deals with us in child training and correction as his children.

**Then there were the two sons of the Father in the parable of the Prodigal son, they were both sons, but one son was obedient to the father, and the other son was disobedient, yet they were both equally sons as to in relationship to their father, but we see that the suffering of one was different to the suffering of the other – both suffered, but the prodigal son suffered in a much greater way than the other son, and so this is showing us something of our own lives also of our earthly journey of why that some suffer more than others.

LUKE 15:11-32

11     ¶ And he said, A certain man had two sons:

12   And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

(If we stop and think about the tensions that must have built up in this family over the prior months to bring the father of this son to this place of a decision of where he decided to raise the money of half of his entire living (of what the family farm was worth) of what his grandfather and maybe even his grandfather’s grandfather had worked that land for generations to build it into a great farm, and then the father of this son came to a place where he decided to pay half of what the farm was worth out to this youngest son knowing full well that he would waste it all – and so there is a great lesson of God that is hidden in this story because this is the story of man’s relationship with God and how that God was also willing to lose the world to sin and death for a season in order for man to come to his own senses so that his relationship with man could be restored back again in harmony and peace with Him again)

13   And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. (That is what mankind has done for that past 6000 years – wasted his life by living in sin and trying to be happy while being separated from his father)

14   And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. (Good times often don’t last because there are cycles of boom and bust, and that is just life – that is why when you are being blessed financially make sure you put some of that away into something real like Joseph did in the time of plenty so that in the time of famine you will have something to help you through the time of famine)

15   And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

16   And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

17   And when he came to himself (The whole purpose of the cost of what the father had lost because of his wayward son was for this one purpose that this son would come to himself – come to his own revelation of what his true relationship should have been with his father. This was the secret that the father knew, he knew that it would take this experience of loss and hardship and failure for this boy to wake up and come into an understanding that he could have never come to by just being told by the words of the wisdom from his father’s lips – Eve didn’t learn by being told by God either, and many times we as adults don’t learn by being told by what God tells us in his word either, we have to also experience the loss and the pain and the suffering and the shame and the pig pen before it really becomes true knowledge to us also), he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

18   I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

19   And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. (Look at the contrast of what he was before of when he had put his family through all the stress of having to find the money to be able to pay him out half of what the farm was worth just so he could go and waste it all on riotous living, what a selfish boy this was, what poor character he was made of, this was something that had came down to him from an hereditary trait from some selfish granddaddy or some other selfish family member, this was not and attribute of the heavenly father God.

***So if you will notice here that this story is about the price that the father was willing to pay in order to bring his son into the right relationship with himself and the family again)

20   And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

21   And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

22   But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

23   And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

24   For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

25   Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.

(Notice the contrast between these two sons and the hereditary influence that had affected these two boys differently and how their father dealt with each boy differently)

26   And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.

27   And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.

28   And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.

29   And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:

30   But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.

31   And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

32   It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

The most important thing to the father was not the marring of his financial position, but it was the relationship with his son that he wanted to see restored at any cost – and this is showing us of how God has dealt with us also because this is the story of redemption
