The Woman under the Palm Tree Pt.3

JUDGES 5:1-2

1     ¶ Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying,

2   Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves. (Notice how this song of Deborah and Barak begins, Praise ye the Lord for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves. There were people in Israel that offered themselves willingly in service to the cause for that hour – that is why it was also the sword of the Lord and of Gideon, because the supernatural God works through the willingness and the service of man)

JUDGES 5:23-24

23   Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty. (Notice - Blessing for those who were willing to help with the Lord in the battle, but a curse put on those that came not to the help of the Lord)

24     ¶ Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent.

This gentile woman Jael (who is a type of the bride of this hour) is sang of here that she is blessed above woman.

The Woman under the Palm Tree Pt.3

There are quite a few cases in the bible where judgement would be metered out to the citizens of villages, towns and cities and even individuals that would not willingly help toward the battle of when the Lord was involve with that battle – and in many cases it seems like it was a very harsh judgment givin upon their seemingly fellow Israelite believer.

In first Samuel 25, King David was going to kill Nabal (Abigale’s husband), and all of his male servants when Nabal refused to help him in the cause to supply food for his men. Nabal was a wealthy man, and God expected him to use what God had allowed him to accumulate to help David and his men. That would have been his contribution and part to the great cause – but he was unwilling.

**It is important that we are willing to do a little work for the Lord when we are called upon and when we have the opportunity to do it, because that may be the main thing that you came into the earth for was to do that little part. *Everything else in your life up to that point might be just preparing you for that time when that little part that you are called to do for the Lord comes around, and you don’t want to miss that because you have a bad attitude of unwillingness towards the work and the battle of the Lord in this hour.

*Nabal had an attitude against David who was a servant of the Lord, and that’s like the ministry in this hour, many develop bad attitudes toward them – and it’s the devil that does that to try to upset the plan of God, as well as some people are just selfish and won’t give a crumb like the rich young ruler.

John the Baptist was used by God for 6 months – trained all his life for 6 months of service to the Lord.

I.AM.THE.RESURRECTION.AND.LIFE_ CAMPBELLSVILLE.KY MONDAY_ 63-1118

(This is a funeral service that brother Branham preached for a young brother Garnett that had passed away at around 18 years old)

67     But God sometimes train men for years, to get a few days of service out of him. John the Baptist was thirty years, by himself, in the wilderness, for six months of service. Jesus Christ was thirty years old, for three years of service, for the crucifixion. God trains men, brings them up. It's His purpose. Time is with man. Eternity is with God.

68   I believe that God brought this little boy here on the earth for a purpose.

69   And if you noticed, right in the time of his--his sickness and things, this struck him for a purpose. God could have made the boy sound and well. But what did He do instead of taking his life? He let him get up just where he wasn't going to die.

70   And neither did polio kill him. He didn't die by polio. No other disease killed him, that we prayed over, he and I, and the rest of the Christians here around Campbellsville, that prayed for him. It never. That never did it. See?

71   It was Garnett's time to go. He must. He had served his purpose. He come to Christ, been germitized. What if he would have died before this time? Polio drove him to God. He was to be a tobacco auctioneer, what he had in his mind. That wasn't his purpose, at all. We knew that. His purpose was to be a Christian.

72     Now, a tobacco auctioneer, somebody said, maybe seventy-five years from today, if the world should stand that long, "Garnett, he was a great auctioneer." Maybe that's all the minister could have said at his funeral, "He was a great auctioneer."

73   But what can we say today? "He's a Christian." As an auctioneer, without the germ of Life, just a memory of that generation, he'd be gone, among--among a few men. Now he's amongst the immortals. He's got to come forth in the resurrection. There's no way keep it from it. He has to come, for he served his purpose. He was germitized with the Holy Spirit of God, of Eternal Life that laid within the boy.

**Simon of Cyrene was just a bystander making way for procession of crosses when all of a sudden he was compelled by the Romans to bear the cross for Jesus. Matthew, Mark, and Luke tell of this, so He was immortalised in the scriptures for that one act, and then we never hear much else about him, so for that main purpose and work, Simon of Cyrene came into the world, just for that half an hour or so of service to the Lord, that was his part that no one else could do.

**Joseph of Arimathea was used to give his tomb for the burial of the Lord - that was his part that no one else could do. But what if he had thought to himself – this brand new tomb cost me a lot of money to have dug out, and so I don’t want to spoil it by having it used by someone else before I get to use it.

*There is a purpose of God for everyone, even people that don’t know him in the way of salvation many times God will use them for a purpose.

THE.SPOKEN.WORD.IS.THE.ORIGINAL.SEED_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-2 SUNDAY_ 62-0318

78-3   I went into a place, three brethren--two brethren and I went into a place across from Springfield, Missouri, the other morning for breakfast coming from Arizona, and a little lady there that Brother Wood called my attention to that looked like our Sister Collins: blond, with a big bunch of hair in the back--and he said, "Doesn't that look like Brother Willard Collins' wife?"

I said, "It does." Here come an older lady out, and I said, "I imagine that's her mother. Look at the big bunch of hair." I said, "That's right here by the Assembly of God church, the Assembly of God headquarters; that's where--the reason they're like that." And a whole lot little sisters setting in there with water head hair out like that; that was the students. Little "Ricky" and all of them out there, you know, carrying on; all of them packing a--a Bibles under their arms.

78-5   So we watched them till they all went out, snickering, laughing, carrying on just like the modern--that's--that's the crop of Pentecost coming on for tomorrow, if there is one. Why? Why? Why? Because that's the seed's been sowed. Exactly right.

When she went out, all of them went out, this little lady come back around and said, "Could I do anything for you all?"

I said, "I'd like to ask you a question."

"Yes, sir?" I said (like, as a stranger, I thought she might know us)--and I said, "Isn't that a Bible school across there?"

She said, "Yes, sir, it is."

I said, "I guess you get a whole lot of trade from there." (Now, that was Brother Fred Sothmann setting out there and Brother Banks Wood, two of the trustees of the church.) And I said...

She said, "Yes, it is."

I said, "I suppose you belong there?"

She said, "No," said, "I'm sorry, I don't."

And I said, "The reason I thought that was because that pretty long hair you have. And I suppose that's your mother?"

She said, "No, sir"; said, "she just works here." She said, "No, I don't..." said, "I like long hair. I've got a little girl, and I just have her to wear long hair too." and said, "My husband likes long hair."

I said, "God bless him."

And so she said, "Well" She said...

79-1   I said, "Why, it's strange. Was them the students in here, them girls with them pushed out hair cuts like that, like the first lady?"

"Yep."

When we walked... I said, "Thank you"; walked out. I said, "God put that woman there for a rebuke to that bastard born bunch of kids over across the street."

We don’t know what little part that God has for us in life that he wants to use us toward the advancement of his kingdom and the fulfilment of His word. But especially as believers, when we are call upon, then God expects us to put to use what he has gifted us with in life to put it forward for the work of the kingdom of heaven. The gifts that God has gifted us with are not just given to us to solely advance our own gain, but our gifts that are given to us by God are meant to be for the benefit of others.

Gideon also needed food for his men while fighting the battle for the Lord and for the nation and so he asked the help of the men of Succoth. And so that was their time and opportunity to shine and give something to help in the cause of the work of the Lord, but we find out what happened when they refused to help a servant of the Lord fighting the battle of the Lord.

JUDGES 8:4-17

4     ¶ And Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them.

5   And he said unto the men of Succoth, Give, I pray you, loaves of bread unto the people that follow me; for they be faint, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian.

6   And the princes of Succoth said, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thine army? (They refused to give food to his weary followers for fear of the possibility of incurring the anger of the Midianites in case Gideon should fail – and in fact their decision to withhold food to these weary men would have only contributed to the odds of them failing)

7   And Gideon said, Therefore when the LORD hath delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into mine hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers.

8   And he went up thence to Penuel, and spake unto them likewise: and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered him.

(There could have been a different story written about these men – this was their time to shine but they missed their opportunity)

9   And he spake also unto the men of Penuel, saying, When I come again in peace, I will break down this tower.

10   Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor, and their hosts with them, about fifteen thousand men, all that were left of all the hosts of the children of the east: for there fell an hundred and twenty thousand men that drew sword.

11   And Gideon went up by the way of them that dwelt in tents on the east of Nobah and Jogbehah, and smote the host: for the host was secure.

12   And when Zebah and Zalmunna fled, he pursued after them, and took the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna, and discomfited all the host.

13   And Gideon the son of Joash returned from battle before the sun was up,

14   And caught a young man of the men of Succoth, and enquired of him: and he described unto him the princes of Succoth, and the elders thereof, even threescore and seventeen men. (77 men – these princes and elders represent some of the denominational ministries of this end time age that at the time when they had opportunity, they refused to help the prophet of God that was sent to this generation in the battle of the Lord that he was in to bring about the victory for the people of God for this age. And the 300 men under Gideon represent the ministry that followed under the leadership of the head ministry of this hour who are fighting the battle and are weary)

15   And he came unto the men of Succoth, and said, Behold Zebah and Zalmunna, with whom ye did upbraid me, saying, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thy men that are weary?

16   And he took the elders of the city, and thorns of the wilderness and briers, and with them he taught the men of Succoth.

17   And he beat down the tower of Penuel, and slew the men of the city.

Gideon slays the men of the city for not helping him.

So when we get to this gentile woman Jael (a type of the bride in this hour), we begin to understand that this was her moment to shine.

Firstly she had to be good with hammering a tent peg, because there were skills that she would have needed to have accumulated in life just for this one moment, and that is why God will train you in a certain way with certain skills so that he can use that skill that he gave you for a work for himself to advance his great kingdom.

JUDGES 5:23-24 (opening scripture)

23   Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty. (We are starting to get a picture of this curse that comes upon people that miss their opportunity to help with the work of the Lord when that opportunity comes their way – and Deborah and Barak pick up on this and write about this in their song)

24     ¶ Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent.

Look at the blessing toward this one woman Jael.

It was she alone who dealt the final death blow to the enemy, and look where she dealt the last blow of victory for Israel, it was to Sisera’s forehead, and in her tent. His forehead was his thinking of where the source and root of all the evil of the military might that had oppressed Israel for 20 years had proceeded from.

That is also the victory for the bride of this hour – is to defeat the enemy that resides in our tent also, and we are to defeat him in His thinking by the tent peg of our faith in the word of this hour – that is how we are to deal the final death blow to the devil in this hour.

JUDGES 5:19-20

19   The kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.

The word “Armageddon” in Revelation 16:16 is a Hebrew place-name meaning Mount or Hill of Megiddo, it was known for its strategic location. And so it was by the waters of Megiddo where Deborah and Barak fought against Sisera’s advanced military force, and it will be at the battle of Armageddon where Christ and his Bride defeat the advanced scientific armies of this world in order to bring peace for the millennium that is to come.

20   They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.

The Stars of heaven that were not blinded and deceived by Lucifer in their minds and that kept their first estate, these are the stars that fought in this battle, and this is not just angles, this is people, because the war that started in heaven ends up on earth in people at the battle of Armageddon.

**So if you are to represent Deborah in this hour, then before you can go with Barak to Armageddon to fight, you have to first be under a palm tree with a prophetic anointing and with the word of the Lord and knowing what is going to take place next and then be willing to go with Barak to the battle.

CHRIST.IS.THE.MYSTERY.OF.GOD.REVEALED_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-7 SUNDAY_ 63-0728

550     Now listen close, "fallen angels." What kind of angels? Luther, Wesley, Catholic, Pentecostals, who kept not their first estate like the Angels did, and has fell into organization, like Lucifer's main hold at Nicaea. (Notice - fallen stars, he is talking about denominational people. In other words, what Lucifer did in heaven by deceiving a third of the angels and causing them to disbelieve the word of God thus causing them to fall from their position, Satan has done the same thing on earth with human beings – denominational ministers. Fallen stars at war with stars that have not fallen from the word in unbelief) And what have they done? Organized a great ecumenical association of ministers, to make "an image unto the beast," as the Bible said. And building a Christian economy that'll close the doors of this church and others like it. See Lucifer at his work?

THERE.IS.ONLY.ONE.WAY.PROVIDED.BY.GOD.FOR.ANYTHING_ CHICAGO.IL V-21 N-2 WEDNESDAY_ 63-0731

56     I'll say something here, maybe I oughtn't to say, but yet I believe I ought to say it.

57   If you noticed, Lucifer is exactly doing the same thing, today, that he did at the beginning. See? Lucifer, at the beginning, wanted to build himself a kingdom which was greater and more beautiful than Michael's kingdom, Christ. He, that was his ambitions, to achieve something like that. And what did he get to do it by? He took fallen angels who had lost their first estate. He took that to do it with.

58   And, today, Lucifer has got into the church, and taken away the Word, and injected denomination. And he is building a church, the ecumenical move that's going on now, to unite all the protestants together, and altogether come into Catholic. And this pope they got in now, to do the same thing, exactly what the Scripture said it would do. And what's he doing it by? He is doing it by man of those great ecumenical moves, who does not know God; and the many of them in the Pentecostals, 'cause they're doing the same. What is it? He is doing it with fallen angels, fallen Lutherans, fallen Methodists, fallen Pentecostals, and lost their original estate from the Word of God, and going right back in to make a great big ecumenical move. Fallen messengers, messengers who once stayed with the Word, but sold out their birthrights and joined in with the world. The same thing, it's at the last day. And their Lu-... And Lucifer is achieving today, by man with those spirits in them, that he did with angels at the beginning, fallen angels who kept not their first estate to obey God. And he is doing the same thing today.

HEBREWS 11:31-32

31   By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. (We are not of those who believe not in this hour – we are of those who believe, and who have kept our position of faith in the revelation of what God has sent in this hour, and that is what makes all the difference between the two groups.

***And that is what made the difference with Barak, he had the faith of Christ in the revelation of the events of the prophetic ministry for that day, the word for that hour, and that was the same word that Deborah had, because right through this story, Barak and Deborah were both in perfect harmony together, one could not go without the other, showing us that Christ and his bride would be together in full agreement in this hour also)

32     ¶ And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:

Notice how that Barak is mentioned in the heroes of faith because of his faith in the revelation of the hour for that time. He rose to what he was called to do in that hour.
