The Mystery of the Serpent’s Seed Pt.4

ROMANS 8:28

28   And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

This scripture was true for Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden just the same as it is true for us in this day.

We know for certain that Adam loved God and was called according to the purpose of God – so then why did God allow this terrible fall of death and sorrow and separation from God to come into the lives of this beautiful family of God’s very own children?

God knew all things, so you think that He would have stopped sin from ever entering into the world and causing all the pain and sorrow and death that it has done?

GENESIS 3:9-12

9     ¶ And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

10   And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

11     ¶ And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? (He was afraid because he was naked – man was not meant to be naked) Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? (Nakedness was caused by eating words. This eating of the tree was information that they had received by words that had been spoken by the serpent – words teach you things, words are thoughts that when expressed can reveal hidden and mysterious things, words can bring to light of what was previously dark) Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? (Notice this question here - this should have been a simple yes or no answer, but look at the answer that Adam gives to God, because this answer reveals something about Adam that we can easily miss – he was in a state of partial confusion.)

12   And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

Adam knew that it was the woman that God had given to him that had caused this catastrophe, in other words, if God hadn’t given him the woman, then this whole disaster would not have happened, and so it seemed to Adam that God should also have a part in the blame. And so this was confusing for Adam, how could God give him the greatest thing that he could ever give him, and then by this same thing bring him to complete ruination.

The Mystery of the Serpent’s Seed Pt.4

Why (in the Garden of Eden) did an all-powerful and all-knowing God allow disaster to come into the lives of his children in the first place, surely an all-powerful God was capable of having stopped such a thing?

So this is the same question in principle that many people also struggle with when the problems of life come along. We know that God is sovereign in and that he is a good God, and that His whole purpose for allowing things is to work it out for the good of his children in the end, and we have spoken on these things before with our subject of the trial of offence and the sovereignty of God and different subjects over the years – it often takes the hard things and the struggles of life to bring you to the blessing of what God wants to really bless you with.

But often when a calamity strikes a home, then the first person who usually gets included in the blamed is God, and for the same reason that we saw how that Adam tried to include God in the blame for giving him something that brought disaster into his life, and not only on his life, but also upon the lives of the entire race of mankind for hundreds of future generations.

Adam knew that God could have stopped it, and yet God had crafted things in such a way that his permissive will was able to take place by his children’s disobedience.

God couldn’t make man disobey him, nor did he want him to, but he had to put him in the condition of where man had a choice, but then through the fall of man, God would then be able to reveal himself to man in a way that he could have never done before in all of eternity – and so this is the gospel story that truly reveals the love of God.

GENESIS 3:6-12

6     ¶ And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise (wise with worldly knowledge), she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. (Notice that this eating was a joint affair that they both participated in - and gave also unto her husband with her)

7   And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. (We know that it wasn’t that their eyes had been blind up to this stage and then all of a sudden they could see, and then for the first time realised that they were naked – this was an opening of their eyes of understanding, and then we notice that it was aprons and not hats or shoes that they made to cover themselves with, because these aprons were something that was to cover the part of their shame of what they had done – that is why animals don’t have any shame associated with these things of how that the human race has a natural shame of these things, and that shame came upon mankind right here in Eden)

8   And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

9     ¶ And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

10   And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. (It wasn’t that Adam and Eve were blind in their sight and suddenly saw themselves for the first time and realised they had no cloths on – there was a covering of another kind that had left them, and this is what had caused their nakedness)

11     ¶ And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked (You learn things by being told things – that is why life and death is able to come to you by what you are told of either the truth or a lie, because what you are told gives you knowledge, and knowledge unlocks things to your understanding that were once a mystery to you. So the serpent opened up a mystery to Eve that cause her to pass from life unto death – and that is why God has unveiled the entire mystery of Himself in this day, and to those whom He reveals His word to in this hour, it is impossible for them not to pass from death unto life) ? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? (So this eating of the tree was information that Eve had received by words that had been spoken to her by the serpent, and then in turn she passed that information on to her husband Adam, and Adam’s sin was that he harkened and went with his wife’s teaching even though he knew it was wrong, he wasn’t deceived, he sinned wilfully)

12   And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

This eating was not like eating an apple – it was information that they ate; it was not natural food but the serpent’s words that they ate spiritually. Just like John was to eat the book in Revelation 10, it was the words of the book that he was to eat spiritually and not natural eating – and that is what we have been doing all these years by eating the spiritual food of the message of the hour.

**So this eating that Adam and Eve did is that the woman had communicated to Adam the mysterious things that she had learnt from the Serpent, so now Adam was getting his revelation from the woman (church) instead of the man (Christ), and we know that this knowledge that the serpent revealed to Eve had unlocked a chemistry within her that up to that time had lain dormant, and so now this same knowledge that she passed on to Adam also unlocked a chemistry in him when she had told him all about it.

***We know that the chemistry to make an atomic bomb has always been in the earth, but it took the knowledge from the tree of good and evil to unlock that chemistry by a revelation that came by the knowledge of science, and so we know that this is also what took place in the Garden of Eden with the first man and woman, because what happens in Genesis in seed form repeats itself in Revelation on a multiplied scale, because Revelation is harvest time, and at harvest time we see a multiplication of what was in seed form at the beginning, and so that is why we can see that since the explosion of the industrial age of science and technology in our time, we can see how that this is connected directly to the moral condition of this last age of where this whole condition of sexuality has become a major issue and is causing so much damage to relationships just as it did in Eden.

**Last week I mentioned that from what I can understand of what the message teaches about Adam and Eve, that although they were naked as the scripture tells us, yet they were covered by a holy veil of a covering not made with natural man-made clothing – this is my understanding, and I may be wrong with this, but let’s look at a couple of quotes.

THE.INVISIBLE.UNION.OF.THE.BRIDE.OF.CHRIST_ SHP.LA V-2 N-15 THURSDAY_ 65-1125

96   Like, we wasn't supposed to put on any clothes, at the beginning. I'll preach on that, later this week, the Lord willing. But we have to wear clothes because God gave us clothes. But, in the beginning, we didn't need them. We were veiled.

We didn’t need natural clothes because we were veiled, and this word veil means covering – so what were we covered with? it certainly wasn’t natural clothing of what you would buy from a clothing shop.

REVELATION 3:17 (The Laodicean church age)

17   Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

It is not that everyone in Laodicea is walking around in this age with no clothing on, this is a nakedness of the soul that is not clothed by the word of God. When the word of God leaves a person soul, then they become spiritually naked, and nakedness in not of God because he is the one that provides coverings - Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you.

So when the bible says things, we have to be careful of how we understand it because there can often be spiritual meanings to these words.

*When Jesus said to eat his flesh and drink his blood, he didn’t explain to the people that He wasn’t meaning that in a physical sense, but that it was a spiritual eating of His word, and so the whole bible is written like this from Genesis to Revelation, and God purposely writes his word that way in order to hide the real truth of it from the general public, but then he reveals it to his own, and that is why he never speaks about the serpent seed mystery right out, but he hides it in the scriptures by the way he writes it.

SATAN'S.EDEN_ JEFF.IN V-2 N-20 SUNDAY_ 65-0829

118     Notice how much alike, man and his wife... Now notice, man and wife, both naked in the garden of Eden, God's Eden.

119   Now I'm going to close. I said I'm going to hold just a few minutes. Look, watch now, as closing.

120   Compare this now, how much alike that man and his wife, both in God's Eden, without one stitch of clothes on them (notice that he is speaking of man-made clothing with stiches of natural cotton clothing), and knew it not. For why didn't they know it? For they were veiled to their senses of nakedness, by the Holy Veil, of the Holy Spirit. They could look right at each other, and they didn't know that they were naked. They were veiled with the Holy Spirit, of holiness. They were veiled.

A veil means a covering, and so we know for certain that they were covered with a holy veil, but what they actually saw when they looked at each we cannot be certain.

So Brother Branham is telling us here that they were veiled, so this veil may have been that in their minds in that they were ignorant to their physical nakedness, or this veal could have been like the covering of a supernatural robe that was not made with botany life of cotton or animal skins, but a supernatural veil of a covering furnished by God that covered them like how the animals are naked and yet clothed at the same time.

Animals don’t wear cloths, and yet they are clothe because their clothing is furnished by God from their inside out – you don’t see a Lion with all of its hair gone and just its bare skin, or a bird with all of its feathers gone and just its bare skin, yet they don’t have a stitch of man-made clothing on them, and so they are naked in that sense, and yet at the same time they have been veiled by God.

So in the natural realm, we know that Adam and Eve were naked as far as not having to wear any clothing that they needed to provide for themselves by man-made clothing of what we have to wear today, but yet somehow at the same time they were also veiled in a supernatural way by a veil that God had furnished for them.

When brother Branham went beyond the curtain of time, he saw them dressed in white robes; He did not say that they were naked, but because there was no sin there it didn’t worry him.

GENESIS 2:25

25   And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

GENESIS 3:10

10   And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

So Adam is now ashamed, something that that had covered him before had now left him, and now he was physically exposed and was trying to hide himself from God, so whatever this holy veil had been that had once cover his nakedness, it had now left him, and God had to replace that with the skins of a slain lamb – a natural garment for a temporal covering.

***So we know by the teaching of the message that what the serpent introduced to Eve was a teaching that he had learnt from a previous age of a dispensation of the animal kingdom that used a sexual process of reproduction of what God designed for the animal kingdom. But man was made in the image of God, and God multiplies by the power of his spoken word, and so that was also the way His children were meant to multiply (by the spoken word), and so it was never God’s purpose for man to use this animal way for the multiplication of the sons and daughters of God upon the earth, and so now we know that this is how we were all born wrong by the way we were conceived, we bypassed the spoken word and came directly to flesh, and we dealt with this in more detail last week.

MARRIAGE.AND.DIVORCE_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-13 SUNDAY_ 65-0221M

239   That's why He said to Adam, before sex was ever induced or introduced, "Multiply, to replenish the earth," when he was yet in the beginning, when he was yet both male and female in himself. There, shows then that the Bride has got to come from the Word, by spiritual multiplication, multiplications, see, replenishing the earth.

***The new birth comes by the word being revealed to you, because that was the part that you should have come to earth with already, but you bypassed the word and came into a body of flesh without the revelation of God. So to be born again is not a physical thing but the experience of the word of your day being revealed to you. It is the incorruptible seed of the word of God for your day that produces the new birth.

***So we know that God had to make a way to permit man (by his own choosing) to fall from God’s perfect will for his life and into God’s permissive will, just like what we saw with Jonah. And this was so that certain attributes of himself could be expressed to man.

God had already prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah because he had already known the choice that Jonah would take by rejecting his word – so this is what God has to do in your life also, He has to prepare lots of things along the road of your life in order to allow you to fall into His permissive will, but then He will cause you to learn things while in His permissive will that you could never have learnt otherwise to open the mystery of Himself to you, and then He will bring you back into his perfect will again just like we saw with Jonah.

DOES.GOD.EVER.CHANGE.HIS.MIND.ABOUT.HIS.WORD_ JEFF.IN V-5 N-9 SUNDAY_ 65-0418E

92     But, and if the people won't walk in His perfect will, He does have a permissive will He'll let you walk in. Notice, He permits it, all right, but He will make it work out for His glory, in His perfect will. Now if you'd like...

93   Just like, in the beginning, it was not God's perfect will for children to be born on the earth through sex. No, sir. God created man out of the dust of the earth, breathed the breath of life into him, and he become a living soul. He took from that man a helpmate, and made a wife to him. That was God's first and original will. But when sin come in and did the thing that it did, then He permitted man to marry a wife, legally, and have children by her. "Multiply and replenish the earth, then, if that's the way you're going to do it." But, you see, it never was His perfect will.

So we know that God allowed Adam and Eve to fall into His permissive will, but he had a great purpose for allowing this.
