God's Elective Love Toward Us

Duration:1 hr 18 mins 21 secs

God’s Elective Love toward Us

EPHESIANS 1:3-4

3     ¶ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4   According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

The end time message of this hour teaches us of our origin in that we were always a part of God by being a part of his great eternal thoughts, we were always eternal in his thoughts, and we were chosen in him way back then long before there was even the first atom created.

ROMANS 9:13

13   As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

God’s Elective Love toward Us – Bible lesson

ROMANS 9:13

13   As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

Previous to their birth, the bible is telling us that God loved Jacob and hated Esau, but we know that God by his own nature even loves the sinner (he doest love his sin but he loves the sinner), remember that he loved the rich young ruler even though he knew what his end would be.

The bible tells us that God is Love, so when it says that Esau have I hated, we need to look at this to understand the thought behind this statement as it could seem a contradiction to the nature of God.

MALACHI 1:2-3b

2   I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob, 3   And I hated Esau,

**In the Hebrew culture, this word “hated” is used in this context different to how we would commonly understand the meaning of the word “hated”. In the English language the word “hated” is usually associated with a positive attitude and feeling of dislike and contempt, but in the Hebrew culture it is commonly used to show a contrast of a level of love that is a lesser love.

The Hebrew word for “hate” is the word “sane'” {saw-nay'}

1) to hate, be hateful

It is also translated into the English word “enemies”

So it is important for us to understand that it was common among the Hebrews to use the terms "love" and "hate" in a comparative sense, where the word “love” implied a strong positive attachment, while the word “hate” was not a positive hatred as we would usually think, but merely a lesser degree of love - the withholding of the expressions of affection.

So the word hate was a word used to describe a lesser love than that of the word love.

MARK 10:21a (Referring to the rich young ruler)

21   Then Jesus beholding him loved him,

But we know that it wasn’t in an elective love way by predestination, because if it was, then this rich young ruler would have followed him - the word for that hour.

____________

We can often understand the meaning of words better when we hear them in their context of when and where they are placed in a sentence.

The dictionary meaning for the word “hate” in English is: to feel intense dislike, intense hostility and aversion usually deriving from fear, anger, or sense of injury: extreme dislike or disgust.

But if we look at how the word “hate” is used in the scripture, we can see that in the Hebrew way of thinking, the thought behind this word can often be quite different to the English thought behind this word. We can prove this by the scripture.

GENESIS 29:30-31

30   And he (Jacob) went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years.

31     ¶ And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.

(It is not that Jacob hated Leah with a bitter hatred as we may imagine that the word implies, but from the scripture we see that he did not have the same level of love for her as he did for Rachel)

PROVERBS 13:24

24     ¶ He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

Again - It is not that if a father spareth his rod that he hates his son, it is just that if he spares the rod then the scripture is telling us that he loves him less than if he doesn’t spare the rod.

- In our western culture, we think of love as mostly a feeling and an emotion, but true love goes far beyond emotions because love is a verb – a doing word, it is an action.

John 3:16   For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son – The love of God was expressed by giving the best thing he could ever give – God acted out his love.

If I said that I loved my wife and didn’t look after her and care for her properly – then you would have a right to question my love for her because of my actions, and it’s the same with our children – because actions speak louder than words.

LUKE 14:26

26   If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

*Jesus taught us to love our enemies, so he certainly could not have meant that we are to hate our wives and children and our fathers and mothers as the English thought of the word “hate” would suggest, but what he is saying that, in comparison to the love for our children and our wives and fathers and mothers, we are to love the Lord even more.

So this is not a negative scripture in that we are not to love our family, but for us to become a true disciple of Christ we are to have an even a greater love for the Lord – so this is all a positive teaching, there is no hating involved here at all, just a greater level of love.

**But for you to be able to love God in that greater way, He has to first reveal himself to you through the revelation of His word for the age that you are living in.

HEBREWS 11:20

20   By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.

We know that both Jacob and Esau were blessed materialistically in their lives, but Jacob had the seed of God in him while Esau didn’t, yet both were natural men, but God love Jacob more the Esau because Jacob had eternal representation.

*It was the elective seed of God in Jacob that made the difference, not their outward lives or mistakes.

JOHN 6:65

65   And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

*The elected of God are ordained by the Father to hear and receive the revelation of the word for their day – that is what identifies them as the elect – there is no other scriptural identification.

131-1 {93}   She, the true Bride of Christ has been elected out of every church age.

THE.FEAST.OF.THE.TRUMPETS_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-16 SUNDAY_ 64-0719M

188   Remember, when Jesus came on the earth, there wasn't one-hundredth of the people on the earth ever knowed He was here. He come to get that elected group. Said, "No man can come to Me except My Father has drawed him. And all the Father hath," past tense, "given me, they'll come. They'll know it. They'll hear It."

151-1   SMYRNAEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.4

But to go on. These elect were not only the eternal thoughts of God which were to be expressed in flesh in their due season, but these same elect are called by another name.

Romans 4:16.

"Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all."

Romans 9:7-13,

"Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.

And not only this; but when Rebekah had also conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of Him That calleth;)

It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated."

Galatians 3:16,

"Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ."

Galatians 3:29,

"And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise."

According to Romans 4:16 we find that God has given a Sure Promise to ALL of Abraham's seed, and Paul puts himself and all believers under that designation because he says "Abraham who is the father of us ALL." Then he goes on to not only narrow down his definition, but rather to finalize it for in Galatians 3 he identified the SEED (singular) with Jesus, and counted "the seed children" as children of promise, and promise as having to do with "election", or "the choosing of God". And that is exactly what we have been saying. These who are of the Royal Seed are the elect of God; are the predestinated, fore-known of God, and were in the mind of God and His thoughts.

In very plain language the True Bride of Christ was in the mind of God eternally, though not expressed until each came forth in the designated, decreed season. As each member came forth it became EXPRESSED and took its place in the body. Thus this bride is the literal SPOKEN WORD SEED BRIDE. And though she is feminine in designation she is also called the "body of Christ". It is very apparent that she ought to be called that for she was predestinated in Him, came from the same source, was eternal with Him, and is now manifesting God in a many membered body whereas once God was manifested in ONE MEMBER, even our Lord Jesus Christ.

54-3   SMYRNAEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.4

Before I close this subject, I know there is a question in your minds. You will want to know if I believe in the doctrine of preexistence. I don't believe in that Mormon doctrine of the preexistence of souls any more than I believe in reincarnation or the transmigration of souls. Be careful here and see this. It is not the person that comes predestinated eternally from God, IT IS THE WORD, OR SEED. That is it. Way back there, too far back for the human mind to grasp, the Eternal God with eternal thoughts, thought and decreed,

"JACOB HAVE I LOVED, BUT ESAU HAVE I HATED,

(Romans 9:13)

AND NEITHER WAS BORN, AND NEITHER HAD DONE GOOD OR EVIL."

See, it was the THOUGHT, and then that thought became expressed, and God bought back Jacob, because Jacob alone was SEED. Jacob, alone had the seed; that is why he had respect to the birthright and covenant of God. If you are true seed, you will hear that Word; the Spirit will baptize you into the body of Christ, filling you and empowering you, and you will receive the Word for your day and age. See how clear the true evidence becomes when the Word is revealed to you?

354-1   LAODICEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.9

Let us examine the first phrase, "as many as I love". In the Greek the emphasis is upon the personal pronoun "I". He does not say as many would feel He should say, "as many as love ME". No sir. We must never try to make Jesus the OBJECT of human love in this verse. No! It is the MANY that are the LOVED ONES of God. It is HIS love, in question, NOT ours.

So once again we find ourselves glorying in His salvation, His purpose and His plan, and we are confirmed even more strongly in the truth of the doctrine of the Sovereignty of God. Even as He said in Romans 9:13. "Jacob have I loved." Does it now obtain that since He loved ONLY the MANY, is He therefore in a state of complacency, awaiting the love of those who have not drawn nigh Him? By no means is this so, for He declared also in Romans 9:13, "Esau have I hated." And in verse 11 the Spirit boldly calls out, "For the children not being born, neither having done any good or evil, THAT THE PURPOSE OF GOD ACCORDING TO ELECTION MIGHT STAND, not of works, but of Him that calleth." This love is "Elective Love". It is His love for His elect. And His love for them is apart from HUMAN MERIT for it says that the purpose of God stands in election which is exactly opposite to works or anything man has in himself. Because "BEFORE THE CHILDREN WERE BORN" He had ALREADY said, "Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated."

118-1   SMYRNAEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.4

The cloudy skies and storms of life are no signs of God's disapproval. Neither are bright skies and still waters signs of His love and approval. His approval of any of us is only IN THE BELOVED. His love is elective which He had for us before the foundation of the world. Does He love us? Ah yes. But how shall we know? We shall know because He SAID SO, and manifested that He did love us for He brought us to Himself and gave us of His Spirit, placing us as sons. And how shall I prove my love to Him? By believing what He said, and by conducting myself with joy amidst the trials that He in His wisdom allows to come to pass.

104     The Elected of God seen It in Noah's time, Moses' time, Jesus' time, the apostles' time, Luther's time, Wesley's time, Pentecostal time, because that was the Seed that was on the earth when this inspiration was poured out. Now while the inspiration's poured out, to gather the Bride together, it's only those who are Elected will see It. Jesus said, "I thank Thee, Father, that Thou hast hid these things from the eyes of the wise and prudent, and revealed It to babes such as learn."

*God’s elective love toward us is identified to us because we recognise the word for this hour. If he did not have an elective love toward you before the foundation of the world, then you would never see the word for your day.

So it is not by your trials and your ups and downs that you judge your own election by, or judge Gods love toward you, if we went by that then we would all feel like we were lost and unloved, but it is only by the fact that you see the message for your day, you have recognised your day and its message, that is God’s elective love to you, it is God’s highest form of Love to let you see these things.

SHALOM_ PHOENIX.AZ V-22 N-1 SUNDAY_ 64-0119

89     Now, "good morning" mean peace. Darkness is gathering. What's it gathering for? To show the Light. Isaiah 60:1, "Rise and shine, for the light is come to you." That's the reason I can say, "Shalom," the Light has come to you, God's peace to the elected Woman, to the elected Lady; those who God, before the foundation of the world, called out and ordained to That.

90   The rest of them will never see It. They'll never know nothing about It. The Bible said so. And Jesus said, "No man will come to Me except My Father draws Him, first; and all the Father has given Me will come."
