The Pen of God

Duration:1 hr 28 mins 36 secs

The Pen of God

JOB 19:23-25

23     ¶ Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! (Job had no idea that his words would be printed and become a part of the sacred scriptures, and that they would be read by more people then he would ever have imagined)

24   That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!

(That with an iron chisel his words would be carved in stone and then the carved letters would be filled with lead so that his words would last forever)

25   For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

This revelation of redemption was so great to Job, that Job wanted all future generations to know about it, and so he wanted it to be written with an iron pen in a rock and with lead.

JEREMIAH 17:1

     1     ¶ The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;

Writing can also be written upon the table of a man’s heart – his heart being his nature. And that is why the fallen nature that you are born with can be so difficult to change, because it has been written on your heart with an iron pen. It requires God’s pen to rewrite a new nature within us, a nature that has no sin of a fallen nature written into it.

The Pen of God

EXODUS 24:12

12     ¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them. (The writing of God coming through His prophet)

EXODUS 34:1

1     ¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

Notice how that Moses fashioned the tablets by his own works, but it was God that wrote on them.

We know that our lives are like tablets that we have fashion ourselves in the way that our culture and families have influenced and shaped us, but then God is the one that we want Him to write onto our lives the fulfilment of His word for this hour.

DANIEL 5:5

5   In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.

God can write on people’s lives by the way of their experiences in life like what we saw with Jobs experiences, but then we read here that God can also write on plastered walls.

JOHN 8:4-8

4   They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

5   Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? (In the writings of the Law of Moses she should have been stoned)

6   This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

7   So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

8   And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

We notice here how that God can write in the sand.

So God can write on stone, and He can write on plaster, and He can also write in the sand – God is a great writer.

*There are some people who are not very good at speaking and conveying their thoughts with their speech, but then these same individuals are very powerful with their pen in that they can convey their thoughts very clearly and powerfully with their writing ability. And all ability comes from God.

And so for sure we know that God has great writing ability of being able to express his thoughts through writing.

*So He has a pen that He can not only write on tablets of stone (as with the 10 commandments), but He can also write on walls of plaster and even in the sand as with what Jesus did.

So God can write on things from the hardest rock to the softest sand. But then He can also write the thoughts of His expression into the lives of men from the hardest of men to the softest of men.

**So God is very powerful with His pen, and He is able to convey His thoughts to us every clearly and very personally.

Like we saw with Job, his life that God wrote into was then written in the bible for hundreds of millions of future readers to read and to learn of what God expressed through his sufferings.

II CORINTHIANS 3:2

2   Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

Your life is a written book – it is a story that is being unfolded to you from day to day with a new chapter starting at the climax of every cliff hanger that the drama of your life prescribes to you.

REVELATION 20:12

12   And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (The books were opened and the stories of their lives were read from those books)

**Then there are the many different languages of God that He can write in.

We saw that the language that God wrote with on the plastered wall at Belshazzar’s drunken feast - that no one could interpret that language except His prophet Daniel.

DANIEL 5:15-17

15   And now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing:

16   And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.

17   Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.

If God writes in a language that no man can interpret, then it will take a prophet that is sent from God to interpret that writing.

**Notice how that only Daniel was able to interpret the writing on the wall that God had written in a language that no one else in the kingdom knew.

Not one of the astrologers or wise men of the entire kingdom could do it.

*And that is why in this age, God didn’t send a wise man or a theologian to interpret His word for this hour, he sent a prophet to interpret the writing of the word of God.

*And God has also sent this same prophet with the ability to understand the language of the writing that He uses to write into your life by the experiences of your life, because in this age, there is no way that you could interpret this language yourself of how God has writing with His pen into your life, because your life was sealed with seven seals, that is why when the seven seals were opened, it showed your life throughout the entire bible.

**So we have seen how that God can write on different surfaces, and He can also write in different languages.

*He can write in the sand. He can write on plaster. He can write on stone. He can write in the stars. He can write in the pyramid. He can write in the bible. He can write in nature. He can write into your life by the experiences that he has designed for your life of what you cannot interpret yourself without a prophet.

**Along the journey of your life, God will often allow you go through the storm of a situation like how He told Brother Branham to go back into the blizzard. He won’t always make the storm go away at the beginning so you won’t have to go into it. God has a purpose for every storm of your life.

*Brother Branham had to go into the storm in order to learn how to speak to the storm. This is why that if we want the spoken word to be manifested in this hour, then it may be that God will require us to walk into the blizzard at His command.

*So the prophet of this generation had to go back into the blizzard against his own thinking, because God was testing his trust to see if he was going to lean on his own understanding or put his trust in God against his better judgement.

*So the manifestation of the third pull is connected to you learning to trust in the Lord and not in the limited assessment of your own reasoning.

**Notice how that God didn’t say, “run for your life when you see the storm coming.” that was Brother Branham’s plan for the situation, but God’s plan was to, “Go back into the blizzard.”

**So this is where we are being trained in life by all these blizzard type trials of our lives, they are trials of trust and faith because God want us to learn to trust Him when the storms come along and not to trust in our own reasoning.

*So as His dear children, God wants to train us in the ways of the supernatural and not the natural.

The natural thing is to run away from storms – But God’s way is to speak to the storm.

***Adam never ran from storms, he spoke to them and they calmed.

*Jesus spoke to the storm and it calmed.

*Brother Branham spoke to the storm and it calmed.

*And so in this hour, we are to also learn how to speak to the storm and see it calm.

ESTHER 8:9-10

9   Then were the king's scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan, on the three and twentieth day thereof; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the lieutenants, and the deputies and rulers of the provinces which are from India unto Ethiopia, an hundred twenty and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing thereof, and unto every people after their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and according to their language.

10   And he (Mordecai) wrote in the king Ahasuerus' name, and sealed it with the king's ring, and sent letters by posts on horseback, and riders on mules, camels, and young dromedaries: (A dromedary is a one humped camel used primarily for racing – for swift delivery)

*So Mordecai is a type of the seventh angel’s ministry of this day whose message has been written into every language, and sealed with the King’s seal, and sent into all the world.

*This message was written by the pen of God through the voice of His prophet, but in the language that many cannot understand.

PSALM 19:1-3

1     ¶ To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

2   Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

3   There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Look at this language of God – the language of what God has written in the stars.

*Then there is the language of what God has written in nature, and then of how he interprets the language of nature to speak peace into your life so that even a living and spiritual peace is felt from what God has written by His pen in nature.

There is a book that my wife and I read quite a few years ago called “Wilding”: The Return of Nature to a British Farm by Isabella Tree   Published 2018.

I want to read a little excerpt from this book in relation to the healing power of God through nature – it affects everyone, even people who don’t believe in God.

“On grounds of health alone, nature provides a service we cannot afford to ignore. Evidence shows that people are healthier, physically fitter and better adjusted, and children’s behaviour and schoolwork improve, if they have access to the countryside, parks or gardens.”

“Fresh air, long considered a tonic, is not just about avoiding pollution. Toxicologists are discovering that air provided by nature is loaded with microbes produced by plants, fungi and bacteria that are beneficial to health and boost the immune system. Even the remote sight of nature has curative effects. Health services have found that hospital patients need fewer painkillers after surgery and recover much faster if they have views of nature from their beds. “

“… in a [2007] report called ‘Natural Thinking’ highlighting the effects of nature on mental health. One in six of the UK population suffers from depression, anxiety, stress, phobias, suicidal impulses, obsessive compulsive disorders or panic attacks - sometimes in deadly combination.

…The studies show that symptoms of all these disorders are alleviated with time spent in nature. Measurements of blood pressure, pulse rates and cortisol levels of young adults demonstrate a decrease in anger and an increase in positive mood when walking in a nature reserve, while the reverse is true walking in an urban environment. Low levels of self-discipline, impulsive behaviour, aggression, hyperactivity and inattention in young people all improve through contact with nature.

Studies on children who were being bullied, punished, relocated or suffering from family strife all showed that they benefitted from closeness to nature, both in levels of stress and self-worth.

We saw how that Brother Branham would go to nature in order to be refreshed and healed from the stress and pressure that his ministry and the pressure that the people had inflected.

JOB 19:23-25 Opening scripture

23     ¶ Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!

24   That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!

25   For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

God was writing this great trial and experience into the life of Job so that it could be read by the countless of millions of people down through the history of time right to this end time hour.

And what God wrote in Job’s life has brought hope and healing to millions of suffering people over the centuries that have read what God penned in the life of Job of the language that he used to write in his life.

*God’s written word brings healing power to suffering people.

JEREMIAH 17:1

     1     ¶ The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;

All these negative things that are written in the bible of the troubles and the failures and of the sins of peoples lives, they are written with a pen of iron and with the point of a diamond in that their stories have been written for many to read for centuries to come.

**And God allowed their mistakes and things to be written in His word so that when we fail and fall like they did, then we would be able to draw hope from seeing how God dealt in the past when others failed Him and how they were forgiven.

*Look at the many faults of God’s great servants down through the years.

Look at King David’s failings, Look at Solomon’s failings, look at everyone else’s failing, they all had their faults and mistakes just like us, but yet they were still the children of God.

And when we get to the New Testament, we don’t see those faults being told anymore, because they could not get past the blood of Christ – the blood of Jesus Christ annihilated all their sins and mistakes.

- We want to go in a slightly different direction here for a bit and then bring it back into our subject of “The Pen of God”.

156-3   SMYRNAEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.4

I hope you are beginning to see it now. Perhaps you can understand now why I don't hold with the fundamentalists and the Pentecostals. I have to hold to the Word the way the Lord revealed it. Now I did not cover it all. That would take a separate book, but by the help of the Lord we will get many sermons and tapes and messages on all of these points to help you to understand and dovetail all Scripture.

Notice what he is saying - “I am giving you sermons that will dovetail all Scripture.” Notice carefully, He didn’t give us all Scripture dovetailed, he gave us the sermons that would dovetail all Scriptures.

***So the pen of God, when it wrote the message of the hour through the voice of His vindicated prophet, it was in the form of sermon keys that would unlock the mystery of the written word of the bible of what God had also written by inspiration through men – but He wrote it in a language through them that was in a secret language of mystery that was sealed with seven seals.

**So in this hour since the opening of the seven seals, the written word and the revealing of the word need to be placed together in order for the puzzle to be solved.

It’s like with a jigsaw puzzle, you need the picture on the box to know if you’re putting the pieces together right, and so you need the revelation of the message to see if you are putting the bible together right.

*And so when the pieces are all dovetail together with the picture on the box, then you know that you are putting it together right and that your picture is correct.

Like in mathematics, you can check your answer by working it backward to prove that the answer is correct.

**So the bible is God penning His word through men that caught the inspiration of the word that was already established in heaven and then wrote it down by the inspiration of God.

PSALM 119:89

89     ¶ LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

104-1   EPHESIAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.3

Now I know in answering one question another one is apt to come up, and people ask me, "If Eve fell that way, what did Adam do, for God lays the blame on Adam?" That is simple. The Word of God is forever settled in heaven. Before one speck of stardust was made, that Word (God's law) was there EXACTLY AS IT IS WRITTEN IN OUR BIBLE. Now the Word teaches us that if a woman leaves her husband and goes with another man she is an adultress and is no longer married and the husband is not to take her back. That Word was true in Eden as it was true when Moses wrote it in the law. The Word can't change. Adam took her back. He knew exactly what he was doing, but he did it any way. She was a part of him, and he was willing to take her responsibility upon himself. He would not let her go. So Eve conceived by him. He knew she would. He knew exactly what would happen to the human race, and he sold the human race into sin that he might have Eve, for he loved her.

Look at how Adam's nature changed immediately after he chose the way of sin.

Satan had writing a corrupted code into his nature through unbelief of the word.
