Separation

ISAIAH 59:1-2

1     ¶ Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

2   But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Anything that is separated from God will eventually die. Death is separation.

Natural death separates you from this world, it separates you from your love ones, but sin separates you from God which is spiritual death and is a far greater separation.

I JOHN 5:11-12/20

11   And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

12   He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Life is to have the Son, and death is to not have the Son of God.

I JOHN 5:20

20   And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

GALATIANS 1:15

15   But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

Separation – Bible study lesson

When a baby is separated from its mothers womb, there is always pain involved.

Separation in whatever form it is is almost always associated with pain, and especially when it comes to relationships.

Whether it is a child that is separated from its mother, or a married couple being separated, or the separation of a loved one in death, or even the separation from friends – in all these cases separation can be a very painful thing.

And we know that when God and man were separated from one another, that that was also a very painful thing, not just for Adam and Eve, but also for God himself.

Separation often involves great loss.

Adam and his fallen race lost fellowship with God, they lost eternal life, and the lost dominion over the earth, that must have brought great pain to Adam and has continued to bring great pain to all of Adam’s decedents.

That is why everything in this life is the negative of what it was before mankind was separated from God. Our separation from God was caused because of sin, because we disbelieved his word, and that brought on many lifestyle changes to the human race – everything became the negative of what was once only positive.

Where there was once only life – now there is death.

What is negative here is only showing us of what is positive over there.

REVELATION 21:3-4

3   And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4   And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

*There is sickness here, but there is no sickness there.

*There are burdens to bear here, but there are no burdens to bear there.

*There are worries here, but there are no worries there.

*There are disappointments here, but there are no disappointments there.

*There are accidents here, but there are no accidents there.

*There is pain here, but there is no pain there.

*There is death here, but there is no death there.

*There is sorrow here, but there is no sorrow there.

*There is crying here, but there is no crying there.

*And there is separation here, but there is no separation there.

JOHN 14:1-3

1     ¶ Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2   In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3   And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (No more separation)

**So because of this great hope that we have of the promise of God of a greater life that is to come, a Christian looks at this life different to a non-Christian.

**A Christian knows that this life is only temporary (we are pilgrims and strangers here because we are only passing through), and that this life is only a preparation for the life that is to come because our lives don’t end with the death of our natural bodies. The death of our natural bodies only marks the point of which we continue our same life of who we are in another world – natural death only changes our dwelling place.

TO.WHOM.WOULD.WE.GO_ CHAUTAUQUA.OH MONDAY_ 60-0606

E-65 …If a car runs over you, what difference does it make? My, it doesn't but just change this old house for a brand new one. So it's moving from an old, broke-up man or woman to a young one that--that'll never die.

It's going to a place where there's no yesterday, and no tomorrow; it's all today. You're there with Somebody that's the same yesterday, today, and forever, the I AM, the eternal. And you're eternal with Him. And there you are, never to be old, never to be sick, never to have a heartache, never to have any disappointments. There you are. It's just you're changing this for that.

E-66   Now, listen, my friends. If you die without the Spirit of Life in you, you cannot go to that place. Listen, as I said in the beginning, death does not change your spirit. It only changes your dwelling place.

We all spent around 9 months in our mother’s womb, and that prepaired us for this world that we were to come into, and it was a greater world than the world of our mother’s womb, but the time we spent in the world of our mother’s womb was only preparing us for this greater world that we would come into – and that is also what this life is that we are passing through, it is preparing us for that new world and the eternal life that is to come, this life is the development acid that will develop us from the negative to the positive.

*Noah was being prepared while he was in the Antediluvian world in order to be able to go into the new world. That is why Noah had to be separated into the ark before the judgement came – that was not an easy thing for Noah and his group.

It was the message of God for Noah’s day that caused him to be separated from the rest of the world, and it was that separation that gave him life and brought him into the new world after the judgement of the flood.

LUKE 17:26-27

26   And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. (We are living right now at this time that Jesus was speaking of then because we as the elect of God have seen the coming of the son of man in this our day)

27   They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. **Notice – one group went into life because they had been separated by a prophet’s message, and the other group went on into death because they refused to be separated by the word of that hour.

**So it was a message that was sent by God through a prophet for that generation that caused the people of God to be separated from the rest of the world, and that is to repeat again in this day – a separated people by a message, life for one group and judgement and death for another group.

II CORINTHIANS 6:17

17   Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

LUKE 6:22-23

22   Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

23   Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

It is interesting that the bible’s definition of Death is always pictured as a separation between two things.

When Adam and Eve became separated away from God by their unbelief, then death came into the human race and to the entire world.

The word “death” (in its true meaning) is not defined as extinction, annihilation, non-existence or unconsciousness, death is anything that is separated from God who is the fountain of all life.

So to know Him, and to be joined with Him again (the person of the word) is life.

*LIFE IS TO KNOW HIM WHO IS THE WORD, NOT JUST THE LETTER OF THE WORD, BUT THE PERSON OF THE WORD, THE LIFE OF THE LETTER.

THE.MIGHTY.CONQUEROR_ JEFF.IN SUNDAY_ 56-0401M

E-15   It's good to know your catechism. It's good to know your books. It's good to know your doctrine of your church, but all of that is a sideline, but to know Him is to know Life, and to--to have Life is to know Him.

"For he that heareth My Words and believeth on Him that sent Me hath Everlasting Life and shall never come into condemnation, but has passed from death unto Life."

CONTENDING.FOR.THE.FAITH_ GEORGETOWN.IN 56-0200

E-15   ... I have nothing against seminaries and students and monasteries and so forth, but all of that, they'll never know God. It's only knowing catechism and so forth like that. To know God is to know the Person, Christ Himself, and to know Him is Life. Not to know your text book, or to know your creed, or to know your catechism, isn't Life. It's to know Christ the Person is Life Eternal. And that's what we wish to know.

INFLUENCE_ SHREVEPORT.LA V-17 N-8 SATURDAY_ 63-1130B

114…"But to know Him is Life," know Him as the Person, Christ in you, the Word made flesh in you. That's knowing Him. When He, you and He, became, becomes one, like I said last night in The Super Sign. He has got to come in you. You! God and man must come one.

***Death is separation from life, and all life comes from God, so to be separated from God is the true definition of death.

And so life is simply the separation from death, from being separated from God. Life is to separate from unbelief and be joined back to God again.

**When a person dies in the natural, their spirit is separated from their body and they are separated from their love ones. Their ability to make contact and have fellowship with their love ones through the conduit of their earthly body has been removed, and that is what we call death.

So if we can understand what death is, then we can also understand what life truly is. Death is separation, so then life is coming back into union with what we were once separated from.

JOHN 11:25-26

25   Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

26   And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Physical death is the separation from your love ones, but for the believer this is only a temporal separation, the bible does not call this condition death for the believer, but calls this sleeping, because a believer can never die, he can never be separated from God.

II CORINTHIANS 5:6-8

6   Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

7   (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8   We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

MATTHEW 9:23-25

23   And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,

24   He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.

25   But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.

Physical death for the believer is only to be temporarily separated from your love ones, but Spiritual death is to be separated from God by not coming to know him in a personal way.

**So if death is to be separated from knowing the Lord, then life is to truly know him by the revealing of his person though his word to you as an individual.

JOHN 5:24

24   Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

There is nothing worse for a human being then to be separated from God.

GOD.MAKING.HIS.PROMISE_ BROOKLYN.NY SUNDAY_ 56-1209A

E-32   But here when the worshiper once comes to Christ, lays his hands by faith upon the dying Son of God and feels the pain and--of Calvary that Christ bore for him there, and when that blood cell was broke, come out of there, none other than the Spirit of God. Then the Spirit of Christ, the dead Lamb that died for you, returns back and coincides with you and gives you new life, new birth, and you're a new creature in Christ Jesus, a son and daughter of God. And you have passed from death unto Life, and can no more die, no more than God can die, I mean. spiritually speaking. Death is separation; you know that. The right word of "death" is "separate."

E-33   All right. You might separate from your friends here for awhile, but you're in the Presence of God. See? Separation from God is eternal death, so you're gone forever. But you can no more die. "He that heareth My words and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath Everlasting Life and shall not come into the judgment, but is passed from death unto Life."

There a many types of death…

- Physical death

- Spiritual death

- The second death

- Death to sin

- Death to the law

- And then there is death to yourself in that you are dead to your own thoughts that are contrary to the word of God – and that death can also be very painful.

*If you have any thought that is contrary to the word of God then you are in a delusion regardless of how right it may seem to you by you own reasoning.

So if death is separation from God, then life is to be separated from anything that is not of God – a total separation from all unbelief.

LUKE 15:21-24

21   And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

22   But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

23   And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

24   For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

Notice - He was dead when he was separated from his father, but then he was made alive again when he was separated from his old life and ways and joined back with his father again.

Opening scripture:

I JOHN 5:20

20   And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true (Life comes by an understanding, by something that is revealed to you), and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Life is to have the Son that comes to you by an understanding, and death is to not have the Son of God. That is why in this age we have the revealing of the Son of man, so that we can be united with him again as Adam was in the beginning before the separation came.

***The understanding of the truth that has come to us by a message of a vindicated prophet in this day is what is separating us from all the false concepts of the word, because a false understanding of the word will keep you from knowing the person of the word, it will keep you separated from God.

***God’s purpose for us in this hour is to separate us from the world and the creed of man back to Himself again, and he is doing that by a message that he has sent to us by the voice of his seventh angel.
