The Mystery of the Ribband of Blue

 

MATTHEW 9:20-22

     20   And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: (The hem of the garment was where they wore these blue tassels of twisted wool called the tzitzit that they attached to the four corners of their prayer shawl or undergarment. The hem of the garment was also referred to the wings of the garment – and we know that brother Branham refers to the two wings of Jehovah as being the Old and New Testament, but there is also this another meaning of the term “healing in his wings” of healing being in the hem of his garment)

     21   For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. (And so there was something about his garment of what stirred her faith, in that she believed that if she could touch his garment – in the area of these wings (the outer edges), then it would bring healing to her blood issue condition of which we know was associated back to the original sin in Eden – and so there is a revelation that lays beneath this story)

     22   But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

*I think there is something going on here that is a little deeper than what it appears to be on the surface.

MALACHI 4:2a

     2   But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; (Again - this word “wings” in the Hebrew is speaking of the skirt or fringes of the priest garments, and it’s the same word of what Ruth asked Boaz to “spread” thy skirt over thine handmaid – and so it is connected to full redemption)

DEUTERONOMY 22:12

     12   Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.

 

The Mystery of the Ribband of Blue

Over the last few weeks we have been dealing with this subject of the healing of the soul – of how that it is the light of the word that brings healing back of what we fell from in Eden.

I think this is the first time that I have spoken on this subject – and so we want to give a little background as we go along together with this study and to also try to let the Lord open this subject up to us by the light that he has opened to us in this hour.

NUMBERS 15:37-42

     37     ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

     38  Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue: (This word “ribband” is not to be confused with the word “ribbon” which is more of a modern word used to describe a long and narrow strip of fabric, but this word “ribband” refers to these strands of twisted woolen knitting threads that were dyed a special blue colour called hyacinth-blue (basically what we would call “indigo”). And this blue woolen thread was included in the making of these tassels that were placed on what they called the wings (the outer fringes) of the garment or shawl)

     39   And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them (Notice - This blue ribband has to do with keeping the words of God in remembrance by something visual); and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes (Eve was enticed by what she saw with her eyes – and so this was to be like a visual defense against their naturally wandering eyes and wandering heart), after which ye use to go a whoring:

     40   That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

     41   I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD your God. Notice here - that this ribband of blue was given to Israel after the blood of the lamb had been shed at the passover in Egypt – and so we know that it must somehow be connected to the spirit of Christ, because Christ was the passover lamb, and after his blood was shed, then came the Holy Spirit that would reveal truth in order to bring things to your remembrance (John 14:26), and that remembrance was to do with the revealing of truth, of which is seeing – in other words, when you see truth, it keeps you from being caught up in the deception of what Eve sin in that she disbelieved the word of God.

Eve’s real sin was her deception that caused her to disbelieve the word.

JOHN 14:26

     26   But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

**We have all heard about the scarlet thread of Rahab of the token of which she possessed at the time of judgement.

I had thoughts about maybe calling this “The Mystery of the Scarlet Thread and the Blue Ribband”, but most of us are familiar with the story of Rahab’s token of the scarlet thread that she displayed.

*Because there was a mystery connected to that scarlet thread in that it represented the blood of Christ, and Rahab had placed that on display over her house as a covenant because of a secret conversation and a revelation that she had receive from these two spies that she had let into here house – and note, that for anyone looking on, they could have easily been misled as to the intensions of these two men entering into the home of a harlot, and so this whole event was shrouded in mystery.

*And so this event of Rahab and the scarlet cord is a mystery that most certainly pertains to this end time that we are living in right now, because we are again at a time of pending judgement of which we know will mark the end of this Laodicean condition.

And so (like Rahab) we have also received a secret revelation of the opening of the sevens seals as a covenant that has been revealed to us in this day by angelic visitations, and so in this hour, it’s not a physical red thread that we are to hang out of the windows of our homes, but it is that we are to display a portion of the life of the prophecy concerning an end time gentile bride of this hour.

The word of the prophecy of the bible concerning the end time gentile bride is to be fulfilled by a people raised up in this day – that’s the real secret to it. It’s not that you just go around trying to act like Jesus in the sense that you do miracles and things – but it’s to be a part of the work and manifestation of the fulfilment of the portion of the word that is to be interpreted and lived out in this hour concerning the bride of Christ.

**Remember, that there will always be people on earth that will be able to live a better and a more holy life then we can as far as being good and moral people, but there is only one group of people that is able to be the living fulfilment for this hour of all the prophecies concerning an end time people of which the entire bible has prophesied of for this day.

*Most of us are familiar with this subject of the token, but we would like to look at something that is not so well known, and that is the subject of this Ribband of Blue that the bible speaks about here in Numbers 15:38, because this is also a mystery that is associated with this for this end time hour – The Mystery of the Ribband of Blue.

**We are all living in the age of visual overload – internet, billboard advertising, shopping malls, tictac or TikTok, Instagram, and two-faced book of where many try to portray their online face of which is often not the reality of their offline face – hence they often have two faces.

And so we are all caught up into a world of where reality and fake are being mixed together in constantly alternating proportions in a way that we have now learnt that we have to question almost everything we see on line, because we know that even though we can see it with our eyes, it still cannot be completely trusted to be truth.  

*Some global surveys suggest that over 85% of people are worried about online disinformation, and that it is getting more difficult to distinguish between true and false information.

And on top of all that, we can now look forward to having AI creating fake news reports by creating videos of well-known news reporters reporting about totally fake events – many “you-tubers” are worried because of the ability of AI to create better content than real people can.

*And so we are learning very fast, that what you see with your eyes can be extremely deceiving, and we know that it was also this eye gate medium that was the channel that Satan used with Eve in the beginning to deceive her by.

*And so while God predominantly uses the hearing of the ear to reveal truth to people (“he that hath and ear, let him hear”), Satan’s (by far) preferred form of access for the purpose of the deception of the human heart and soul, is the human eyes – the eye gate.

*Apparently, there are far more screens in the world than there are human beings.

It is estimated that the number of screens in the world is now in the trillions. This would include everything from smartphones and computers screens to televisions screens, digital billboards, and along with a multitude of other types of display devices such as iPods and iPads and gaming devices etc.

Statistics that have been carried out say that people spend an average of 6 hours and 38 minutes per day on screens – in other words, over a third of their awake time, of which literally equates to over a third of their effective life.

*People are now refereeing to this as “The Screen Disease” - Why Your Digital Life Is Killing Your Human Experience – it’s a condition of where our brains are literally being rewired to prefer digital stimulation over real-world experiences.

*We remember back in the garden of Eden of how that Eve was enticed into sin by something that looked good to her eyes.

King David was also enticed and fell into sin by something that looked good to his eyes.

**And so our eyes can get us into a lot of trouble, and the devil knows this very well, and so this has been his main strategy of his war of onslaught that he has been waging against humanity for the past 6000 years – and now at harvest time, what we saw in Eden at the beginning, Satan has now multiplied and amplified this beyond anyone’s imagination to the point of where it has become legalized mass brain washing, because the Devil wont stop until he has achieved total mind control over the people in this hour – because that is in effect oneness – it’s when two minds can agree perfectly together, and this is also like a marriage. ***Satan’s bride in Satan’s Eden married to her husband Lucifer, and them both living together in this end time Satan’s Eden in perfect agreement – that is what this age is about –it’s the complete counterfeit of the original Eden.

*Lucifer wants complete ability to control the way people think to the point of being able to put thoughts into people minds of whatever he wants them to think at any point in time – and so this is just the opposite and a counterfeit to the mind of Christ – of His thoughts being in a person.

*And so this is an age of mind wars of where a prophet of God told us that this would be the realm of where the greatest battle ever would be fought.

The greatest battle ever fought would not be fought out on some great battle field with guns and tanks, but in this last age, it would be fought in the human mind.

***And this is where the mystery of this blue Ribband comes into the picture, because God knew that there would be something else that was needed in order for the elect of God to be able to stand up to the onslaught of the end time deception of this age – especially when it comes to visual deception.

**And so in the book of Numbers, the children on Isreal were given this blue Ribband as something for their eyes to look at and be reminded that they were Pilgrams and strangers passing through that land, just like we are also passing through this world, and that they were a people that were to be different and to live different according to the word of what had been revealed by the voice of a prophet of God that had been sent to them for that hour, and who’s ministry had been sent to them by God in order to lead them into a new world of a promised land.

*The colour purple speaks of earthly royalty, whereas blue speaks of righteousness and divine royalty.

*God is the creator of all the spectrum of all colours, and so colours have a purpose that they were created by God for, in that they are also a form of communication that God uses to reveal Himself by, because God never creates anything without first having a thought and a purpose behind that creation of something that he wants to communicate in that dialogue of language.

*The sky is not blue by accident. But for some reason, God determined the sky to be blue. The sea and the lakes are not perceptively blue by some accident of nature – but because of the fact that God has a purpose in everything that He does.

The Israeli flag has a blue star of David – that is not by accident either.

The High priest in the bible wore a blue tunic – and so there is a reason for that also.

*This customary blue tunic (of which the high priest wore) was made from a very valuable blue dye called "tekhelet". Tekhelet is the Hebrew word for the rare biblical blue colour of the high priest garments.

*The Bible does not record the production method of how this blue dye was formulated to create this special blue colour of these tunics, and so for many centuries, the knowledge of how this dye was formulated was completely lost, and of which has only been recently been fully rediscovered around the 1980’s – there is of course a lot more to the history of this of which we cannot go into here for the sake of time.

**And so we now know that this dye was produced from a specific sea snail known as the Chilazon, also known as the Hexaplex trunculus – and it is reported to be so good that it will never fade – even after thousands of years.

This dye was lost to history until it was rediscovered by a Professor Otto Elsner of the Shenkar College of Fibers in Haifa.

It apparently takes around 10,000 - 12,000 of these snails to yielded only one gram of dye, and so this is why it was so highly valuable, even far more than the value of gold, and this is also why it was only used by the highest of ranking aristocracy.

This blue dye was made by taking a yellow mucus from the snail and then exposing it to the sunlight, and by certain formulars of mixing it with hot water etc. you would then dip your white wool into it.

*It is interesting to note, that when they first rediscovered this dye, they could only get it to produce the colour of purple and not the biblical historical blue.

*But then in the 1980s, Otto Elsner, a chemist from the Shenkar College of Fibers in Israel, discovered that if a solution of the dye was exposed to ultraviolet rays from sunlight, then it would produce the blue colour instead of the purple of which had been previously produced.

*Elsner discovered that exposure of the dye to the sun changed the monocular structure of the dye so that in effect took out the red and changed the colour from a royal purple to a heavenly blue.

*But when you observe the colour of the dye in a jar, it is actually a yellow colour, but when the white wool is removed and exposed to sun light after being soaked in this the yellow dye, it then turns blue, and this blue is so permanent that it is reported to never fade, even after thousands of years.

*And so I felt that this information was important to get a bit of a background as we go into this study of the mystery of the ribband of blue.

*God made this special chemical inside of a humble snail for a great purpose that we now have knowledge of. How much more has He made us for an even far greater purpose.

     38   Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:

It is suggested that yellow is the colour that is associated with our trials and sufferings, and this is why when you mix blue and yellow together (life with trials), you get the colour of green which is the colour of life as with plant life.

The two main colours of the world is blue and green.

Planet earth is often referred to as the blue planet because it appears primarily blue when viewed from space.

*When a green plant begins to die, it generally turns yellow – and so another way of thinking about this is that the colour of blue is slowly being removed as life departs, and blue is to do with the divine life and righteousness of God, and so when the life is removed, it produces yellow.

*Also at harvest time, of when the SON light bakes all the greenness out of the stalk and tassel out of the wheat plant, it also turns yellow, showing that the life has left the stalk and is going into the grain. Because when you plant that grain again, you get a green shoot, because the life is in the grain.

And so God has written the mystery of redemption even in the colours of nature.

*Then we have the four different colours of the four horse riders in Revelation chapter 6.

And so we see different colours showing up all over the bible.
