The Healing Light of His Word Pt.2
MATTHEW 4:12-16
Mathew chapter 4 begins with the account of the three temptations of Jesus by the devil in the wilderness – this takes place directly after his baptism by John in Chapter 3 of Mathew.
12 ¶ Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee; (John the Baptist's imprisonment by Herod Antipas effectively signals the end of John's public ministry and the beginning of Jesus ministry. Because we know that Jesus’ ministry was to increase, while John’s ministry was to decrease (St John 3:30 – John speaking – “He must increase, but I must decrease”) – and we have seen that also in our day with the focus coming away from the prophet to the truth of the word that that prophet introduced us to. And this is why you find that those who are still trying to make shrines (as it were) in order to magnify the prophet of this generation, it is because that they have mostly failed to recognize the one that he told us that he was sent to forerun of the promised light of the word for this day of the revealing of Christ Himself – John introduce Christ the word, and Brother Branham introduced Christ the word, and so the focus is on the message and not the messenger)
13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light (this great light we now know was the revealing of a person - Christ); and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
This scripture here is referring to the prophecy in Isaiah 9:1-2 of which speaks of a great light coming to a people that had been living in darkness – and so the ministry of Christ was the fulfilment of that scripture, because He was the light that had come to light up the world from its darkness of spiritual ignorance)
PROVERBS 6:23
23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
ISAIAH 42:16
16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
LUKE 1:78-79
78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, (dayspring = the rising of the sun)
79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
The Healing Light of His Word Pt.2
We want to pick up again with our scripture reading from last week -
PSALM 107:14/20
14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death (This is a compound scripture that speaks of this end time age, because we know that the Laodicean went into complete darkness – so there would be a people in this end time age that would be transitioned from a Laodicean condition of the blackness and of spiritual confusion, into the fulness of the light of a bride age revelation), and brake their bands in sunder. (This word brake means to root out, or to draw or tear away, it’s like an act of force, because this is the sort of power that lays within the light like when you expose a seed to sunlight, there is a force that is set in motion by the light that unleashes a power within the seed to manifest what it was sent to do)
20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
**His word, when it is revealed, is the light for the age. And that light for the age has a creative power within itself of a healing power, and a life-giving power, and a power that is able to transform and give eternal life to a person that receives that light, because life comes by light.
*On the Sunday morning of the 29th of December 1963 at the Branham Tabernacle, Brother Branham preaches a fairly lengthy sermon that he entitled “There is a Man Here that can turn on the Light”.
*And then on that same evening, he preaches a message called “Look away to Jesus” of where he tells of the experiences of the third pull and how that it is connected to creative power.
*And if we observed closely, we would notice how that what he spoke from his mouth not just produced a creation, but it was a creation with life in it like what we saw with the squirrels being spoken into existence – an animal with a specific nature within it – and so a nature had to be created along with the physical body of the animal.
*And then we saw with the account of Hattie Wright’s two boys, that not only could the spoken word create natural animal life with animal natures within them, it could also change the hearts of her two boys and give them eternal life.
**And so he is telling us that there is a man here that can turn on the light and bring healing and life and a change of heart and a change of nature back into a people that are living in a fallen world that is full of darkness and death.

Don't fear, little Sister, there is a Man here Who can turn on the Light. He can make this Word live.
And then after that, the very next sermon he preaches is two weeks later on the Sunday the 12th of January 1964, and he preaches the message “Shalom”, and shalom means peace – peace to the world, a good morning to you, it’s a brand new day, a brand new beginning, because the SON light has risen in this end time age by the opening of the seven seals to shine the SON light of the revelation of Himself, and that light of the word that He has shone in these last days is what is going to bring healing to a fallen world and usher in a new age of peace in the millennium.
**In Brother Branham’s opening scripture in the message “There is a Man Here that can turn on the Light” he reads this same scripture of what we have already read of in Mathew 4 of our opening scripture.
MATTHEW 4:16
16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
And then directly after reading this scripture – he makes this comment…

34 May the Lord add His blessings to the reading of His Word! And now, odd little text that I heard someone speaking, said this, but I want to take this for a text: There Is A Man Here That Can Turn On The Light. And now we're going to speak on the subject of light.

78 And spiritual Life, Eternal Life, can only come by God's spoken Word of Life. Life was the S-o-n this time. In Him is Light, and in Him is no darkness; and He is God's spoken Light. Is that right? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] God's spoken Word, for, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." And It's forever God. See?
And it takes the Light of God to strike the Word, to make It live. Here is what He spoke [Brother Branham pats his Bible--Ed.], now let the Light shine! Amen! Let the Light shine, and the Light will bring every Word to Its right position, in its season. Amen! Oh! You see, when it comes time! (It cannot fail to happen when the time comes)
79 Sometimes that grain lays in the earth, dormant, all through the--the winter, like seed, winter wheat sowed in the ground. But when that sun gets just right, oh, it's got to live. See? And it can't live without the sun.
And God has made promises for every age and every day. And when the Light gets right, and shines upon that, it'll produce just exactly what the Word said, because He is the Light and the Life.
(Notice what he is saying here, that the light of the word for each age, when it shines in that age, it will produce the prophecy of what was promised for that age, because the light has the effect of life on the thing that it shines on, because the power of life is in the light. And so it is the light that quickens and brings to pass the prophecy of what was promised into manifestation.

PSALM 107:14/20
14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder. (Notice how that He is showing us the pattern of this here - God first brings a people out of darkness by the reveling of a great light, just as we have witnessed in this last age of a people who have come “out of Laodicea, and into the bride age”. And then after this event of bringing them out of darkness, He then begins to break their bands (their bonds, their chains), and man’s biggest cause of bondage is his own fallen nature, because for 6000 years, man’s fallen nature has been like a disease that has resided in his soul because of his unbelief of the word)
20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
*In other words - the destructions of a nature of what has been causing man to keep making wars and destroying himself for the past 6000 years – God is going to deliver him from those destructions, because in the Millennium there is going to be piece for a 1000 years with no more wars.

E-17 ...Soon daylight will come and the Son of Righteous will rise with healing in His wings. This mortal will take on immortality. We'll see Him as He is, and be made like unto His own glorious body, and shall never be sick, or a heartache, or a disappointment.
And so God is going to send healing to the destructive nature of man by sending His word (the healing light of His Word) in this end time age.
**And so for the soul of man to be healed, it requires a man to be here that can turn on the light of an end time revelation that can be shone into the heart of an elected people who can receive that light – because until this last age, the full healing light of the word has been sealed up until the time of when the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings.
MALACHI 4:2a
2a But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings;
*This word “healing” in the Hebrew is the word marpe' {mar-pay'} which is not just the healing of the body, but it also refers to the restoration of a sound mind.
Because when man’s soul fell from the nature of God, his thoughts also fell into a thought pattern of sin and destruction, and we don’t need to be very smart to see what the sickness of sinful thinking of the mind of man has brought upon society - especially in these modern times.
* This word “healing” in the Hebrew also refers to the idea of prosperity, like a land that is not prosperous, but is then healed and brings forth great blessing and prosperity to all of its inhabitants.
**And so healing from God is not just restricted to the physical body, but it also applies to many other areas of life such as relationships that need healing, and broken hearts that need healing, and broken dreams that need healing, and a broken land that is infertile that needs healing, and a lack of resources in your life that need healing, and then of course there is the healing of the human spirit and the human soul of man’s nature that needs healing – and this is why there is a man here that can turn on the light of His word for this hour of which the light of that word is able to bring healing to all of these things.
